you'd get them if you heard blackened sky and vertigo of bliss.

It took me a while to "get" all that screaming. I'm still on the fence about that, but there are some screamer Biffy songs that I used to skip over that now I like.

The Foo's are amazing as well, although I admit I haven't bought their last 2 or 3 records.

The Foo Fighters have become quite mediocre. Songs and melodies are much less inventive than on the first 3 or so albums. Worst are the lyrics, nowadays it's just one slogan per song. It feels like they don't have anything to say.

Sort of an urgent request here....Just got tickets to the September 4th show in Boston (!)for the Pigeon Detectives. I just ordered their CD "Wait For Me" from CD-WOW on Thursday and it'll take 7-10 days for it to get here from Hong Kong (there has been no US release of this disk). Could someone share a link to this album so I can start learning the songs before the gig? Nothing worse than hearing a ton of songs that you don't know.

Voluminous thanks are offered in advance!

Thanks again to Logan for the "Emergency" download! Saw the Pigeons last night in a tiny club here in Boston. There were probably only 100-150 people in the place. I left to get a drink and my spot was still open and I was close enough to get sprayed when Matt the singer shook his hair. I like their music on CD, but they are much better live. Very high energy show. Shook hands with most of the band as they came off the stage and got a set list. Nice night.

BTW, I had money in my pocket to buy Emergency from the merch table but they weren't selling anything. As the Matt said during the show, "If you like our new songs, there's fuck'all you can do because we don't have a US record deal."
