no, what have they done?
they signed a deal with 4 big record companies to deal with illegal downloads. the record companies give them the ip addresses they have found and the service provider sends an email saying dont be downloading or else. if you get caught twice they shut down your connection
hopefully they can only detect peer2peer

yeah they'd get your IP by looking at active p2p files, thats information open to anybody. I doubt they'll have something similar arranged with rapidshare. They might have though...
That also gets around any complaints you could make to your ISP about privacy and whatnot because they wont be passing details on. Seems fairly air tight to me.. fuck.
